A former Chief Operating Officer of the Taurus Group, Nojeem retired from DTaurus Holdings Ltd in July 2020 having joined the group as a pioneer Executive Director of Taurus Oil & Gas Ltd. later rising to the position of Group Executive Director, then Chief Operating Officer.
A UK-trained professional with expertise in policy & strategy, performance management, corporate development and public speaking, with cognate experience in housing policy & strategy, infrastructure, energy and utilities.
He was appointed in 2003 as Strategic Commissioner (Supported Housing) and Commissioning Board member at the City of London Corporation. In this role, Nojeem had overall responsibility for policy formulation, strategic lead and delivery of the City of London’s multi-million Pound housing & support programme. A British citizen, he held this role for five years from where he was head-hunted back to Nigeria. Nojeem took up an appointment in Nigeria in 2008 as Vice President (Executive Director) at First World Communities Group.
Nojeem has won academic and professional accolades – including the City of London award for “consistent demonstration of imagination and innovation” and for becoming the first Nigerian to attain the fellowship of the UK Chartered Institute of Housing (FCIH).
In 1986, he was awarded the University of Lagos ‘University Scholar’ status and granted a scholarship for becoming the first student to graduate with a First Class in Political Science in the history of the University.
He completed his Master’s Degree on scholarship at the same University in 1988, before proceeding to the UK where a change in career path saw him complete a Post-graduate Diploma in Housing Policy, Management & Finance with the College of North-East London/Middlesex University.
Nojeem also became a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) in 2005.
